As a student, you will complete course work in medical terminology, pediatrics, anatomy and physiology, mechanical ventilation, equipment, assessment, advanced life support, and fundamental courses.

Respiratory Care Therapists see a diverse set of patients which range from adults and the elderly to newborns and pediatric patients. Patients that require the care of a Respiratory Therapist often have conditions such as asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive lung disease, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, infant respiratory distress syndrome, and conditions that could be brought on by shock such as trauma or complications from postoperative surgical procedures.
